Why does this crash on empty arrays?
function avg(xs) {
  return xs.reduce((a, b) => a + b) / xs.length;
}
reduce without an initial value throws on an empty array, and xs.length is 0. Guard it and pass a start value:
function avg(xs) {
  if (!xs.length) return 0;
  return xs.reduce((a, b) => a + b, 0) / xs.length;
}
Now write a test for it.
✅ avg([]) returns 0, avg([2, 4]) returns 3 — here are 4 Jest cases covering empty, single, negative and float inputs.

FAQ

Questions, answered

What is Muse AI Assistant?

Muse AI Assistant is a free Chrome extension that puts an AI assistant in Chrome’s side panel. You can chat with AI, get help with code, summarize the page you are reading, turn a screenshot into text, speak instead of typing and generate images — without leaving your tab.

Is Muse free?

Yes. The free plan includes 2 AI requests per day with every feature. Muse Pro removes the daily limit: $5.99 per week with a 2-day free trial, $10.99 per month or $34.99 per year.

Does Muse read my pages in the background?

No. Muse reads a page only when you ask — for example when you turn on “This page”, use “Capture area” or a right-click action. Nothing is read in the background.

Where are my chats stored?

Your chat history stays in your browser. Conversations, page text, screenshots and voice recordings are processed to answer you and are not stored on Muse servers.

Which browsers does Muse work in?

Muse is built for Google Chrome (version 116 or newer) on Windows, macOS, Linux and ChromeOS. It uses Chrome’s side panel, so it works best in desktop Chrome.

How do I open Muse quickly?

Press Alt+Shift+L on Windows or ⌘+Shift+L on Mac, or click the Muse icon in the toolbar. Alt+Shift+S starts a screen capture.
