What is Muse AI Assistant?
A Chrome extension that adds an AI assistant to Chrome’s side panel: AI chat, a coding assistant, page summaries, screenshot to text, voice input, right-click actions and an image generator.

Is Muse related to other products named Muse?
No. Muse AI Assistant is an independent Chrome extension and isn’t affiliated with other apps or companies that use the name Muse.
Which languages does Muse speak?
Muse replies in the language you write in. The interface is available in English, Spanish, French and Italian.
Do I need an account?
No. Install and start. Muse Pro checkout uses your email for the subscription.

How do I summarize a page?
Turn on This page and tap “Summarize this page”. See the guide.
How do I copy text from an image?
Press Alt+Shift+S, drag over the image and choose Extract text.
What coding tasks can Muse do?

What image styles are there?
Auto, Photo, Illustration, 3D, Anime, Watercolor, Logo and Pixel art, in Square, Wide or Tall.
Can Muse browse or click on websites for me?
No. Muse reads what you choose and writes answers; it never clicks, types or submits on websites.
Does Muse have dark mode?
Yes — Settings → Theme: System, Light or Dark.
Privacy
Does Muse read my pages in the background?
Never. Pages, screenshots and voice are sent only when you click This page, Capture or the mic.
Are my chats stored on your servers?
No. Conversations are processed to answer you and not stored. History is saved only in your browser.
Which AI provider do you use?
OpenRouter, which routes requests to models such as those from OpenAI and Google.
How do I delete my data?
Settings → Clear chat history, or Delete all my data to also remove your anonymous ID from our server.

How many free requests do I get?
2 per day, reset at 00:00 UTC.
How much is Muse Pro?
$5.99/week with a 2-day free trial, $10.99/month or $34.99/year.
How do I cancel?
Settings → Manage subscription. Uninstalling doesn’t cancel a subscription.
Can I use Pro on another computer?
Yes, in up to 3 browsers with Restore purchase.
Troubleshooting
Muse says it can’t read this page.
Chrome’s own pages and the Chrome Web Store are protected. Open a normal website and try again.
The microphone doesn’t work.
Allow the microphone on the Muse microphone page (icon left of the address bar), then try again.
I hit the daily limit.
Free requests refresh daily at 00:00 UTC, or upgrade to Muse Pro for unlimited use.
Enter doesn’t send my message.
Check Settings → Enter to send. With it off, use Ctrl+Enter (⌘+Enter on Mac). Update to the latest version for the best keyboard support.
